Star photographer David Lachapelle is showing for the first time in New York his "Earth Laughs in Flowers" series depicting dark, baroque compositions in deep color. Sex, consumerism and the ferocious power of putrefaction make-up haunting pictures of vice and vanity. The title is inspired by a poem of Waldo Emerson and each work is named after the cycles of seasons and life.
