The Unfolding African Drama – Wildlife Portraits by Nick Brandt

I love my dogs, reading books, and taking great pictures with my battered but still functional digital camera. Taking great pictures with a high end camera is almost too easy, producing fantastic images with an outdated one is an accomplishment by itself.

Nick Brandt didn’t start out as a nature photographer, it was when he was filming Michael Jackson’s music video “Earth Song” in Africa that he first began his love affair with Africa. He swore he would treat his subjects as no other nature photographer ever did. This resulted in his very own style which could not possibly be mistaken for someone else’s. He incorporated high-end fine art values to his already inconsiderable photography skills and gave the world another point of view.
