I was born and grew up in the beautiful county of North Yorkshire. My interest in portraiture developed at an early age, during the seventies, when I used to draw my favorite pop idols such as David Bowie. My love of art led me to study Art and Design at the local college, and then later to specialise in Textile Design at Huddersfield Polytechnic.
It was during this time that I began to use fashion illustration and fashion art as a way to show the vibrancy and colour of the yarns and fabrics that I had designed. It was also at this time that I started to use the medium of oil pastels, and fell in love with their brightness and versatility, and have been using them ever since. After nearly two decades of art taking a backstage, a recent life changing event has led me back to my passion of art, which I am now pursuing with love and enthusiasm. More on: Global Vernissage
