Diego Marmolejo Marries Maximalism and Minimalism

Spanish artist Diego Marmolejo combines the beauty of two opposing concepts: minimalism and maximalism. This self-taught artist and Psychology graduate in Barcelona, playfully sketches his imagination to transform into a work of art. His works translates fine and solid lines combined with vibrant colors to create a seemingly abstract yet conceptual design containing animals, people and his environment.

Minimalism is a style of visual arts that uses pared-down design elements. By contrast, maximalism (purely an artistic term) is an aesthetic of excess and redundancy.
