New York-based fine art and commercial photographer Stephen Wilkes perfectly renders captured moments in one single shot of popular landmarks around the world in his Day to Night series. While most photos capture a single moment frozen in one click of the shutter, Day to Night captures multiple moments in one stunning photograph. The captured image not only translates a moment for one person, but multiple moments for multiple individuals.

Speaking to TIME Magazine’s Lightbox, Wilkes describes his collection saying, “Those things touch people because it grounds them in terms of who they are and what they’ve done in their lives.”
