Recycling Old Toys and Clothing for Sculptures by Hoda Zarbaf
What do you do with your old toys, pillows and stuffed toys when you’ve outgrown them? It’s either you throw them away or you pass it on to others, right? That’s not the case with Toronto-based artist Hoda Zarbaf. Pre-owned clothing, old toys, and recycled textiles are some of her arsenal to create figurative sculptures.
Hoda’s works are mainly about women as she takes them as the center and subject of her art. In the following series of works, she portrays women in different emotions and puts them in different roles or state of being. Have a look below.
