Sleuk Rith Institute by Zaha Hadid

Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid celebrates the cultural richness of Cambodia’s Sleuk Rith Institute in this amazing wooden architecture project. Located in Phnom Penh, the Sleuk Rith Institute serves as a  genocide memorial, research center and graduate school.

Zaha Hadid’s design breaks away from the traditional memorials and re-imagines the space to embody the aim of teaching about the past but focusing on the future.  Revealed in 2014, construction of this iconic memorial will begin 2015.
