2.7 Meter Wide, 27 Meter Long House in Japan

This is quite the unique home. A family residence in the Shiga prefecture in Japan measures 88.5 feet long by only 8.9 feet wide for a total of just under 800 square feet in living space.

Named the “Promenade House,” it was designed by FORM/Kouichi Kimura Architects for a young couple with a daughter.

The ground floor features the kitchen, dining area, and living room all combined as a single space, which is typical for most Japanese family homes. The second story has bedrooms and storage areas (yes, there are even storage spaces!) on one end, and the bathroom on the other.
