Cameron Davidson is a multi-award winning aerial photographer. His work has been featured in multiple prestigious publications such as National Geographic, Vanity Fair, Smithsonian Magazine, Audobon Magazine, and Ducks Unlimited. He has taken aerial shots from all over the world.  It helps that Cameron is a pilot himself and doesn’t have to rely on commercial aircraft for his incredible shots. When not in the air, Cameron also takes portraits. He is currently based in Washington D.C.

Unseen Nature – Macrophotography by Mehmet Karaca

Mehmet Karaca is a 27-year-old amateur photographer who hails from Turkey. This young, talented photographer is into nature photography in a big way. His macro shots of bugs and critters are good enough to be used in National Geographic. A glance at his portfolio and you can see he takes every detail into consideration before taking the shot: lighting, angle, contrast, and focus are all taken into account. This one young photographer we should all watch out for.

Wacky Critter Close-Ups by Shikhei Goh

Shikhei Goh is a self-confessed macro addict who lives and works in Singapore. Unlike other addictions,  his has won him an award from National Geographic. He started taking Macro photographs in 2011 and hasn’t taken a break since. “I have always said to myself that I must and I can make great photos. After countless of trials and errors, explorations, and criticisms I can say that I am happy enough for what I have achieved now.” – Shikhei Goh

Curious Collages by Peter Madden

Peter Madden considers himself a  ‘Sculptographer’. He takes the art of making a collage into a whole new level. One of his most popular works include a collage of plants, animal, and people cut-out from old encyclopedias and magazines. Sandwiched between two plates of safety glass, they give the viewer a pleasantly surprising three-dimensional view. According to him: “In my work, I’m cutting into a body of knowledge, poetically releasing the images.”.

Real Life Version of Up by National Geographic

Is it really possible to lift a house off the ground with helium balloons? In the real-life version of Pixar’s animated hit film Up, National Geographic aimed to find out, and ended up setting a world record for the largest balloon cluster flight ever attempted. 300 colored weather balloons were used to lift up a 16′ X 16′ house, 18′ tall to reach an altitude of over 10,000 feet for approximately one hour.
