The Art of Arithmetic by Kevin Twomey

Kevin Twomey’s series of prints reveals the more intimate side of the weapons of arithmetic, also known as calculators. These antique mechanical calculators were stripped off with their outer coverings to show their skeletons and gears which are now rarely seen in today’s modern digital calculators. These calculators range in size with some of them almost equal to the size of a desktop computer. Uncovering them shows the glory of the intricacy and complexity that goes with arithmetic.

Kevin received his BFA in Photography in State University of New York. He loves raising the most mundane things to an iconic level.
